After working in Business Management and Information Technology field for almost 20 years, Cheri needed a change. She had discovered her passion for art in college and spent years working mostly with snow and sand sculptures, then added acrylics and painting glass. Cheri combined her love of business with her passion for art, and opened Burgundy and Brushes (NJ – 2014) to be able to share this joy with others. Once her husband retired, they moved to Chippewa PA in 2017 to be close to their grand daughter and to open her second studio (PA – 2018). This new studio offers the opportunity to extend her focus to include Hammer & Stain DIY workshops, where guests transform unfinished wood into wall worthy pieces.
After graduating from Moore College of Art & Design and working as a Graphic Designer and Art Director for all types of industries, Tucker discovered her love of craft design and the joy of teaching. Jenifer was raised in the Arizona desert, full of wonders and creatures (some of whom only she could see). Early attempts to capture their likeness in drawings gave way to the more satisfying third dimension of sculpture. Jenifer’s mixed media sculptures raise questions about identity and how we define ourselves within contemporary culture. She received a BFA in Sculpture (ASU), MFA in Sculpture (Academy of Art University), and Post Bacc. in Art Education (Moore College of Art). She is currently creating and teaching art in south New Jersey, where she lives with her son and her father.
